Tour to Akhaura

Al-Amin and I started our tour to Akhaura. I left home at 7:40 to catch the train 🚆, but sadly, we missed it because we were late. We became anxious 😟— how would we get there now? Thankfully, the Almighty helped us find another train about 45 minutes later.

We waited, and finally it arrived 🚉. We got on and traveled for free 😉. It was fun — though the fun didn’t last long.

We arrived around 11:00 🕚 and walked around to find a cheap vehicle 🚗 to take us to the lychee garden 🪴. We took an auto-rickshaw for 300 taka, which took us to the garden and even helped us look for lychees.

Unfortunately, after searching for over two hours, we couldn’t find the lychees we wanted. The owners said prices were higher than usual due to scarcity — and as you know, scarcity increases value. Even though we didn’t get the lychees, the tour itself was quite remarkable 😊.

More importantly, I got to experience my first-ever train journey 🚂! I was super excited 😆. I took lots of photos and videos of the beautiful countryside — so much more peaceful and natural than the city.

On our way back, we had to wait nearly 2 hours for the return train. We were bored 🥱 and tired. Finally, at 2:40 PM, the train arrived — but it was a slow local train. It took over 2 hours to reach Cumilla. Wallahi, that part of the journey was really suffocating.

Coming back from a trip is usually nice — but this return was a struggle.
